The PS4 is coming but we can only assume when exactly that will be. Sony announced the console to be coming at the end of this year but that could be anywhere between October and November. It would be safe to assume that any game with PS4 designs in mind would then release after the console itself or at least delay the PS4 version’s release.
Ubisoft seems to be throwing caution to the wind and deciding to release Assassin’s Creed 4 for PS4 alongside the other versions of the game.
Asked by Outside Xbox if there’ll be any delay between the release of the current and next-gen versions of the game, Ubisoft Montreal’s Jean Guesdon simply replied: “Same ship.”
Guesdon is the creative director of the game so he should know what’s going on and the question he was specifically asked is: ”Is there going to be any delay between the versions, or are they all going to release at the same time?”
AC 4 is set to release locally on November 1 on PC and current-gen consoles (watch that PC version get delayed). By association does this mean PS4 will be releasing prior to November 1? Surely Ubisoft wouldn’t pull an EA and let you buy a game which you have to wait some time before you can play.
