It was inevitable, wasn’t it?
Electronic Arts global product manager Kevin O’Leary was responsible for taking the first shot at Activision this time around, after a comment on Twitter stating that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 “looks tired”.
The comment was obviously quickly removed, thereafter. It’s almost as if he doesn’t realise it’s the internet. “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!” reads the link to the tweet now, but a while ago it read:
“Poor [Black Ops II], you look tired, you should take a year off and rest.”
A double shot then, at the game and Activision’s yearly release cycle.
Expect an apology from EA any time now.
In the meantime, has anyone made popcorn? I want some, while I sit back and watch this unravel.
